This policy explains which personal data is processed when you use the website locationdevoitures-marrakech.com and when you contact Choumacars. It is based on Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

Data collected by the booking popup
When you click "Book on WhatsApp", the booking popup collects:
- your full name and phone number;
- the car you chose, the start and end dates, the pick-up point and, if you fill it in, the address or hotel name;
- the language of the website (French or English) and the page you sent the request from.
Other data you send us
- By WhatsApp or phone: your number, your name if it appears on your profile, and the content of your messages.
- By email: your email address and the content of your message.
- At handover: the information needed for the rental agreement, in particular your identity and your driving licence.
Why we use this data
- To handle your booking request: check availability, call or message you back, confirm the terms.
- To organise the rental and the delivery of the car, then draw up the agreement.
- To keep track of our bookings and of our relationship with customers.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We use the language and the page of origin to reply in your language and to know which page the request came from. We do not use your data for marketing without your consent and we do not sell it.
Who receives this data
- The website admin area: every request sent from the popup is saved in the WordPress admin area of the website, which only the Choumacars team can access. The website is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. (EasyWP service), which stores this data on our behalf.
- The agency's email: a copy of the request is sent to choumacars@gmail.com, a Gmail mailbox provided by Google.
- WhatsApp (Meta): the same details are added to the prefilled WhatsApp message. You decide whether to send it. Once sent, it is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
- Customer management tool (CRM): your booking details may be passed on to the customer management tool Choumacars uses to follow up bookings.
Only the Choumacars team and these technical providers have access to your data.
Third-party services on the website
- Google Maps: the embedded map is provided by Google. It only loads when you scroll near the bottom of the page; Google may then set its own cookies.
- Audience measurement: the website is ready to use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking, services of Google LLC, which Choumacars or its web provider can switch on. If they are switched on, these tools receive events without your name or phone number (page views, clicks on the Call and WhatsApp buttons, booking requests) and may set Google cookies. Google handles this data under its privacy policy.
Some of these providers (Namecheap, Google, Meta) may process data outside Morocco.
Click and booking measurement
The website itself counts, without cookies, clicks on the Call and WhatsApp buttons and bookings sent from the popup. For each event, it only records the type of click, the page, the website language, the type of device (mobile, tablet or computer) and the date. Your IP address is never stored in readable form: it is turned into a fingerprint (hash) and kept temporarily, only to limit abuse. This measurement is used to track the number of requests received through each channel (call, WhatsApp, booking). These statistics cannot identify you and are kept for 24 months at most.
Cookies and local storage
This website remembers in your browser your choice of language and if you closed the language suggestion banner. The click and booking measurement described above does not set any cookies. As long as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking are not switched on, the website sets no audience measurement or advertising cookies. If they are switched on, Google may set its own cookies, as explained in the third-party services above. The Google Maps map may also set Google cookies when it loads.
How long we keep data
Your booking requests, our conversations and rental agreements are kept for as long as needed to handle the booking and to meet our legal obligations, then deleted.
Your rights
Under Law No. 09-08, you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to choumacars@gmail.com, describe your request and give the phone number you used for the booking. You can also lodge a complaint with the Moroccan data protection authority, the Commission nationale de contrôle de la protection des données à caractère personnel (CNDP).
