A large SUV for long journeys
The Touareg is Volkswagen’s flagship SUV. In Morocco it is sold with a V6 diesel engine and an automatic gearbox: a combination made for eating up the kilometres without tiring you out. The cabin is wide and well insulated, and all five passengers have plenty of shoulder and legroom.
In Marrakech, the Touareg earns its place in two situations. The first is long journeys: the road to Ouarzazate over the Tizi n’Tichka, the coast towards Essaouira, or a week-long road trip in the south. The pulling power of the diesel engine makes the Atlas climbs easy, even fully loaded. The second is occasions when you want a car that makes the right impression: a dinner in Hivernage, welcoming clients or a wedding at an estate in the Palmeraie.
The current Touareg comes as standard with 4MOTION all-wheel drive. Drive on all four wheels gives you grip on mountain roads, in winter rain or on a dusty surface. If your route includes dirt tracks, describe it on WhatsApp before you book.

Questions about the Touareg
Is the Volkswagen Touareg economical on fuel?
The Touareg is a large SUV with a V6 diesel engine and all-wheel drive: it uses more fuel than a saloon, but diesel remains well suited to long motorway distances. In town, fuel use rises with frequent stops. Plan your fuel stops in the towns along the way. Choumacars can advise you on WhatsApp based on your route.
Is the Touareg suitable for a wedding in Marrakech?
Yes. Its size and finish make it a car with real presence for guests or the couple's family. Choumacars can deliver it directly to the venue, in the Palmeraie or anywhere else in Marrakech. Give the date and address in the WhatsApp message.
Is the Touareg a 4x4?
Yes. The current Touareg comes as standard with Volkswagen's 4MOTION all-wheel drive. It is at ease on the motorway, on the Atlas passes and on rough roads. If your route includes dirt tracks, describe it to Choumacars on WhatsApp before booking and we will tell you what is possible.
Can the Touareg be delivered to Menara airport?
Yes. Choumacars delivers the Touareg to Menara airport at any hour, including for a night flight. Choose the airport as your pick-up location, send your flight number on WhatsApp, and the car will be waiting when you walk out of arrivals.
