Casablanca, about 240 km north
Casablanca is roughly 240 km from Marrakech by the A3 motorway, a drive of under three hours (Planderoute). We bring the car to your home, hotel or office in the city, or to Mohammed V airport. See car rental in Casablanca.
Agadir and the Souss coast
The same A3 motorway continues from Marrakech to Agadir; the whole Casablanca to Agadir route covers 429 km (Wikipedia, Autoroutes of Morocco). Safi on the Atlantic

How delivery within 24 hours works
You choose your dates, then your car, then add your name, phone number and the city or airport. The request opens in WhatsApp. We confirm availability in writing and agree on the place and time of the handover. A member of the team then drives the car from Marrakech to you. At handover we walk round the car together, take photos, check your licence and ID and give you the keys. The WhatsApp conversation stays open for the whole rental.
For an airport handover, add your flight number. If your flight is late, the handover moves to your actual landing time.
Driving between Moroccan cities
Morocco drives on the right. Motorways are run by Autoroutes du Maroc and are tolled: you take a ticket on entry and settle the toll on exit. The general speed limit on motorways is 120 km/h (Wikipedia). The motorway network links Casablanca, Marrakech and Agadir, and a coastal motorway runs from Casablanca to El Jadida and Safi. Away from the motorways, national roads cross villages, so expect lower limits, roundabouts and slow vehicles. In the mountains, drive the Tizi n'Tichka road to Ouarzazate in daylight. Plan a stop every two hours on long transfers, and keep your licence and ID in the car.

Can I collect a car in Marrakech and drive it to Casablanca or Agadir?
Yes. Mileage is unlimited on every Choumacars rental, so you can collect the car at Marrakech Menara or at your hotel and drive it to Casablanca, Agadir, Safi or Essaouira. Tell us your route in your WhatsApp message so we can suggest a model that suits long motorway days.
Can I return the car in Marrakech?
Yes. A car delivered by Choumacars in Casablanca, Agadir or Safi can be returned in Marrakech, where our office is. You can drop it at Marrakech Menara before your flight, at our office in Porte de Marrakech 2 or at your hotel. Give the return place and time in your WhatsApp booking.
Do you deliver rental cars outside Marrakech?
Yes. Choumacars is based in Marrakech and delivers to Casablanca, Agadir and Safi within 24 hours of your confirmed booking. The car is driven from Marrakech to your address or hotel, or to the airport in Casablanca and Agadir. In Marrakech itself, handover is possible at any hour, day or night.
Which Moroccan airports do you serve?
Choumacars hands over cars at Marrakech Menara 24/7, and delivers within 24 hours to Casablanca Mohammed V and Agadir Al Massira, including at night. Add your flight number to your WhatsApp request. Safi no longer has a working airport, so visitors to Safi usually land at Marrakech or Casablanca.
Do I need an International Driving Permit to drive in Morocco?
Rules depend on the country that issued your licence. GOV.UK advises UK drivers to carry a 1968 International Driving Permit with their UK licence (GOV.UK). Choumacars checks your licence, held for 2 years, and your national ID or passport at handover.
Is there a young driver supplement?
No. At Choumacars the minimum age is 22 and there is no young driver supplement, whatever the city of delivery. The only other condition is a licence held for at least 2 years. Bring your licence and your national ID or passport to the handover.
Can two of us share the driving on a long trip?
Yes. A second driver can share the wheel on the same conditions: at least 22 years old, a licence held for 2 years and a national ID or passport. Mention them in your WhatsApp message and bring their documents to the handover, so we check both drivers at once.
Can I book several cars for a group?
Yes. Choumacars can deliver several cars on one booking, for a family, a group of friends or a team. List the models and the drivers in your WhatsApp message. Each driver meets the same conditions: 22 minimum and a licence held for 2 years.
